Your civic and you?
I was just wondering how why you guys decided to purchase your civic and what your major likes and dislikes are about the car...
I love Honda's and after owning a slew of different cars from various manufactures I don't think I would buy anything else as far as practicality goes...
From styling to efficiency it's all and all a great car, especially after riding and driving many different cars nothing really compares (in the price range that is), it's just overall a great car... maybe besides the engine choice in it but hey can't have everything I suppose...

I bought mine for the gas mileage, and they do look sexy!!! They are pretty easy to add your own flavor to them too, which is what I like about them. I don't think I have any complaints about them yet though, but I guess I am still in the honeymoon phase, as I've only had the car for a little over a month.
i got mine cuz i wanted something for daily driving cuz the mustang was costing to much in gas......but I eventually sold the mustang.....for some reason or another i started modding the civic.....never thought I would like imports...LOL.
Only thing I wish was the 04-05s need more aftermarket support...its kinda like the "lets forgot about generation."

i bought mine cuz i had another ej civic and it got totaled... and i started to drive my titan and that was too much gas so i bought this honda.. really like the styling.. but not the motor lol and i agree with soltker... more aftermarket support please!! i think there will be more support for our cars.. but its just the matter of the manufacturers catching up
I bought mine a year ago when gas went up to 3.00 per gallon i was driving an 87 trans am gta v8 eating gas. I liked the way it looked and drove. bought it certified with 23000 miles. 47k on it now and i still love it...
i bought mines last march...i was always a big fan of import and civic and how they ran..i chose the em2 because i wanted a newer gen civic but didnt come to figure out they didnt have much choices for aftermarket....and beside the motor was not that popular...mmmm...also the downfall of the vtec-e....but i love the way it looks and the smoothness of the ride....but motor could had done better...at least honda coulda put the k20 base model in there...

well for me, i had owened a 93 Accord, and felt in love with Honda ever since, but because i am young and had no credit history all i could get that was new was an 05 Civic VP, but thanks to this car i have build up good credit, i hate the fact that it has no HP thou but it does have it's looks
Same here i had a mustang gt 5.0 and a big block chevelle, bout the civic ex for daily comute and gas milage, sad thing is that my civic gets better gas mileage than my custom motorcycle, lol
dont really know why i got into it. i had a bunch of different cars. i had a 300hp tsi that was stolen then i got a dd 99 stratus and put a turbo kit on it and made a wopping 205hp, but when i rode in my buddy's stock internal gsr turbo hatch i fell in love with hondas. from a 95 awd tsi, turbo 99 stratus 2.4 4door, gmc sierra z-71, s13 240, 91 hatch w/b16, 96 sohc ek turbo 4door, 02 k20turbo civic coupe! and thats where i stand. dont plan on going back to domestic unless it's a vette or a turbo diesel.

i got this pos cuz it was the cheapest and cleanest in the lot. and it was my first car..and couldnt afford anything over 12 grand cuz the monthly payments wouldve been way over the top. now i can afford it and im not too happy with it. buttt....i went to a honda dealership last night and saw the cleanest shinyest, darkish greenish evilish looking honda prelude. i want itttt.... same price as my car and looking at just shy of double the payments im making now...so hmm..who knwosss.
I've always loved Honda and have had 3 Civics now, a '97 EJ9 and a '99 EJ6 previously. I changed from my EJ6 to the EM2 because the mileage on my EJ6 was getting a little high for my liking (about 88k) and i fancied something a bit newer.
I'd always liked the EM2 body style and i was also intrigued by the fact that they're rarer than rocking horse **** over here. I had to drive halfway across the country to find a nice one... *sigh...
I still love it, but i just wish i'd either kept my EJ6 or sold it for a '00 EK4 and gone nuts on that (cos i miss my old EJ) or waited a little while longer for an EP3 CTR or DC2 ITR. The lack of decent aftermarket support for the EM2 is a complete ball-ache, especially here in the UK where practically nothing is available. Even getting normal parts from Honda is a mission in itself. It's a good car for what it is though.

I wanted a second car and my neighbor was selling his Civic. What I like? I think the 7th gen is best looking Civic model. Highway gas mileage is very good. What I don't like? Lack of low end torque. Interior is not as refined as my other car.
I bought my 05 EX a week ago and I love everything about it, but I primarily bought it because of the great gas mileage, reliability, and the 04-05 coupe's are sexy as hell. The sedans can't compete in the looks dept, imo. Just wish my EX had a spoiler, but I can take care of that myself. And what a pleasant suprise, after I bought it, I realized it has adjustable intermittent wiper speed like all the former Toyota's I've owned had, it satisfies my **** nature, lol.
I love this car!!!
I love this car!!!
Yep, and for me the limited aftermarket suppot for the generation doesn't bother me at all because I won't be doing any engine mode anyway beyond possibly an intake (it does not only add a little HP, but improves gas mileage as well). The EX is my DD, the Integra is my fun car with all the mods, I'm kepping this car quiet and comfortable. Any engine mods in the future beyond an intake will be a K swap.
i got a great price on mine. it had 18k miles when i bought it and came with a 5 year 100k mile extented warrenty. in the end it set me back $12k, so for the price, gas mileage, reliability, and most importantly the insurance, it was a great buy.
too slow though. too much money to drop a K in and not enough after market support for now. i think i'm just going to drive it till i graduate from college and then get a Z, g35 or something similar
