Erratic Idle & Flat Acceleration
Hey
Put a new header on my 90 Civic Hatch -
Now it seems to idle very erractically and sometimes when accelerating it seems to be very flat with no power at all, then other times it accelerates fine.
Never had any problems before the new header was put on.
When changing the header i had to move and rewire the Oxygen Sensor, could this be the problem?
There are no check engine lights or anything like that.
thanks for any help.

</TD></TR></TABLE> Did you rewire it correctly? 1 wire or four? what on board Diagnostics? all this will help to solve the problem.
But just in case, make sure "OBD1-2" you connected all the wires right. Also make sure where you connected "hopefully soldered" the wires the connection is good. O2 modifies the shortband via the information sent by voltage readings with your AFR.

I believe there were 2 wires from the Oxygen sensor.
EDIT - Sorry one wire from the Oxygen sensor, the ECU has one flashing red light.

OBD0 = Definately your o2 sensor, if the car was running prior then the sensor should be good...make sure you don't have a leak prior to it also do you have a adj. FPR, if so are you @ stock, also are you running retarded timing or anything for boost. Probably though just a bad connection @ the splice location.
Yes its OBD0, car is stock std 4 speed civic, no FPR, no boost or anything like that.
Everything seems to be connected ok.
Should i start over and rewire the Oxygen sensor again? or do i need to get a new sensor?

Sensor should be fine if all you did was pull the sensor and extend "one wire" the wire. Check the voltage of the o2 when the car is @ idle with a multimeter.
