Default b20-vtec...What head is best

i have a 2000 si motor that im picking up for cheap money it is taken apart already so i was thinking about getting a b20 block and using the head and tranny from the b16. but i have a gsr head also which head is better?? thank you

Either one should be fine...i personally like b16 heads...lets hope this thread dont get locked...

B16 head with type R cams. B16 head flows better and the stock manifold design is alot less complicated.

Doesnt the GSR head have like .2 more compression than the B16 head does? I vauglly (spelling?) remember a thread about ppl swapping GSR heads onto B16 blocks for that reason.

yes. the gsr's smaller combustion chambers bumps compression slightly.
