I bought the bass works upgrade sperkers and they suck even whith the gain at 1 and bass all the way down they distort at 30 or higher. I was wondering if anyone else got this upgrade. Just want to know if something is wrong or is this the way it should be.

 

Well I cant imagine the upgraded speakers being any better than the 350watt system thats in the EX/Si... and if you turn those up to 30 (at least in my car) they will be distorting too. 30 is LOUD! I never get over 20 unless i'm using my AUX port.

 

Never even passed 10 on mine. Keep thinking the rear mirror would fall off if I go any higher.

 

Do you have the free air sub in the back?
