Hello all,
Ive had my ED (EF) hatch since i was 16 and its been in a few litle accidents to which its not in the best condition now days.
Over the next year i am going to turn it into a street/ circuit race car for fun
BUT not many EF's have been worked on down in Australia.
The questions i want to ask are:
1. What parts do i need to convert it to EFI? ie: fuel tank fuel lines etc and if the parts from the aus spec CRX's will be direct fit?
2. What needs to be done to fit EG6 Coilovers and ITR 5 lug conversion?
3. What parts are needed to convert the car to manual transmission?
Ive got the pedals, gearbox (hydro), b series shifter and shift linkage.
The motor that will be going in is a mildly worked B18c1 thats currently in my EG sedan.
A few lil pics of the car how it used to be before the minor front end damage and small rust spots have appeared:

Hey, another aussie - cool.
When i was looking at buying an ED sedan i came across a VTEC d16 with dual carbs. The reason i say this is that i would like to see if you could keep the carbs and do the engine swap, that would be sweet. Have you done any mods to the carbs at all? Theres a few mods you can do to make them suck better.
Your hatch looks nice too,

Thanks Mate, ill have a look there... when u say "everything between 88-91 will swap right over." do you mean just everything from the 88-91 CRX's will swap right over?
take some pics of the engine bay and i'll see what i can figure out. also try http://www.ef-honda.com or http://www.d-series.org they have a lot of info on the carbs.

The five lug is an absolute waste of time on our cars IMO. Its a difficult conversion and offers no advantages over a standard four lug w/ arp wheel studs.

perhaps better braking? what sort of brakes are everyone else running? I could prolly get hold of some CRX front and rear brakes and whack them on with some good pads and drilled n slotted rotors maybe but will that really be sufficiant for some track fun?

pad selection is the biggest solution to our brakes. Also, i would stay away from drilled rotors if you plan on tracking the car at all, they have a tendency to develop hairline cracks as the drilling substantially weakens the rotor. just get four wheel discs and a pad that suits what you'll be doign with that car and you should be fine. four wheel discs can be taken off a DA or crx si. good luck.

very true. i have seen mustangs run mid 4's in an 1/8 for years on the stock 4 lug pattern. they do have to replace the studs every season cause they start twisting but they do serve their purpose just fine.

If you can get some 88-91 CRX DX (not sure about other models) front knuckles you can use ITR calipers, T25 mounting brackets and Integra size rotors. Throw in some rear disc, braided lines, good pads and you got stopping power
. But all this info is in the FAQ's

this is a pretty straight forward explanation of what the interchangability of hubs and rear trailing arms to our cars is. very helpful, if you can, keep it all ef up front. The DA front brakes, while they do work (fine i might add), they are a slight bit different dimensionally, adding some over all height to the knuckle. While this doesn't necessarily have the most detremental effects on a street car, if you are truly trying to build an effective race car, ALL suspension angles and measurements must be taken into your plans (instant center, COG, moment arm, anti dive, anti squat yada yada yada). So figure out how far you want to take it and get goin!
