Default 88 CRX HF with Tokiko Illumina adjustable shocks. Which springs for autocross?

Some friends and myself are working on an 88 CRX HF for the 2007 Grassroots Motorsports Challenge and we are still looking for a good set of used springs that will allow the car to do well in the autocross. We will be using the HF front sway with a large rear sway (looking for a used one of these too!)

I am looking for the opinion of experienced EF autocross drivers. Which springs?

Opinions vary about the best spring rates for the EF. I'm running 450F and 550R, the ST rear bar and no front bar. With the alignment and my wheels and tires I'm happy with the balance of the car in steady state turns. I've been running EF's for "several" years.

definitely over 400 lbs.
i know an STS2 crx driver that is near the 700 lb range. it must work cause he kills everyone regionally.

Opinions vary on the CRX setup, but be aware that the EF Civic setup doesn't seem to work very well on the CRX, although like I said it varies and some people use that setup.

The EF Civic standard is ~450F/550R, when run on the CRX it seems to swap ends quickly. I've seen people running 550F/450R on the CRX, as well as even rates. A lot of it depends on your alignment and sway bars used.

It really is going to take some testing with your driving style to find the right rates for you.

gutty will be on some abused victoracers. I want to run an aftermarket rear sway. Looking for a cheap used one.

well, 450lbs is the unwritten limit for OTS konis and illuminas. i'm sure 400f/500r would be a nice setup seeing as this rig will be race dedicated. with a large rear bar, it will rotate well.
