For those of you that get your oil changed at a dealer, what do you pay? I want to compare prices. Thanks.

I bring my own oil and they do it for $15, for warranty purposes.

I remember paying about $40 + tax "ONLY" for the oil change at the dealer, and I think that's BS.

Now, I take it to a local mechanic for the same price, but he also checks everything. Such as the radiator fluid, windshield wiper fluid, tire pressure, brake rotors/pads, boots, shocks(if blown), etc, etc.

I do it at home. I took my S to the Honda dealership to get the spark plug recall done a while ago. I was standing outside waiting for my car when they got done and I see my car coming towards me. But it was leaning HEAVILY to the driver's side. It stops and out comes this 350lb guy (no lie. Maybe more) and he STRUGGLES to get out of the car. He had to rock back and forth several times to squeeze out. I was soooo pissed. I swear the S looked like it was on airbags all leaning to the side. I double-checked the seat to make sure the bolsters were still in tact.

When I have to take it in now, I specifically ask for a mechanic I got to know and make sure he drives it to and from the shop.

actually the warranty will not be void if you keep all the receipt of the service, it's a common dealer scam.

and hondacare doesn't worth a damn penny, i had it and regret it

As far as the first gen, people were glad to have the warranty because it covered the TSB work. My AP2 was Wednesday-built, never had to worry about it. It's still nice to have something, plus I paid only $700 on top of my car.
