well i got a new expansion valve and just wondering where in the system does it go?

 

evaporator core...behind the glove box. whiel you got it out clean it out real good, might as well while your'e there.

 

i believe it goes in teh evap box which is located behind the glove box

 

ha, we both responded at the same time sometimes it happens...at least we both had the same answer

 

how hard is it to change

Pretty easy, provided that you have the system evacuated. Just make sure to use flared wrenches on the fittings so you don't strip them.

Just remove the evaporator box, it'll be right on top of the core. Here's a pic for reference:
