sunroof civic sedan???
The sedans have more flat roof space, so they designed it to tuck inside...
There isn't a way to do that, unless you remove the stock moonroof, and put in a crappy aftermarket one....
Why would you want it to not tuck away?

I really just like the way it looks on coupes. first civic with one, thought they would be the same, just something I didn't pay any attention to at the time.
Are you serious? I have a 97 sedan ex, but I was talking about the moonroof on the 92-95 civic coupe ex. So did Honda stop doing this in 95 or what? I already searched Honda-tech and no one seemed to have ever asked this question.

Of course I'm serious.
I imagine they only did it for the '93-'95 Civic coupes, not the '96-'00 Civic coupes. I'd rather it be this way. It lessens the chance for damage to the roof or the glass.
You'd have to get an aftermarket moonroof and then it would probably look weird anyway because it would have to tilt up more to clear the sedan roof.

Yes. When the body style changed from 5th gen to 6th gen, the popup moonroof (not sunroof..it's glass) gave way to the slide in style.
Personally, I hate it. I need that inch and a half of headroom back, which is why I still drive a 95 Ej1.

Actually, a moonroof is a type of sunroof. A moonroof is just a sunroof with a see through panel.
I'm between 5'4 and 5'6. I'm fine having a lower ceiling.
Then again though, most cars are too big inside for my tastes.
