Default YAY ! Malaysia officially gets the new CTR!

For the first time in Malaysia, the new CTR is offered.
My friend sold his 1-month old Sedan to buy this.
Price?
On the road with taxes and everything cost RM199k which is $57,554.37 !
Ohh how i love Malaysian import taxes......
Well at least no more gray market imports.

No manual option only auto.

Wait... if they have the R18 motor, then what crappy K20 are they putting into the 2.0? Sounds like K20A3 but what... why?

You have to pay to be special. If the price was cheap for importing, everyone would have one, and it wouldn't be special anymore.

hah! lets put it this way, in thailand. the DC5 type R cost between 3.5-4.0 million baht depending on who you are importing through, and one dollar roughly equals 38 or so baht... its gray market, but holy expletive batman, its 200% tax on any car and then a gas tax added onto it depending on how crappy the fuel mileage is. this all happens in a country where you regularly see ferraris/lambos/porches/GTRs driving by at very excessive speeds on bad roads with ridiculous traffic.

i would hate to see how much a 2008 CTR would cost in thailand, and just for informations sake... a mint R34GTR VSpec costs between 8-12 million baht. ouchies.

(btw i used to live in thailand)

When the actual car is infront of you,.. Looking at it with your own eyes, things can change, bro.. Believe me. We would do all sorts of things to get our hands on it.

in Malaysia, import taxes for cars go as high as 300% of the price tag probably to protect the domestics
