Default need help

i posted about a month ago. about my hatch not starting. i did a firing test. fuel fuel pump and filter. those are fine. timing is on point. and there was a year and a half old gas. sucked it all out and put in 2 gallons of new gas in. and it still won't start did a compression test and it was 90 on 1 105 on 2,3,4. could one cylinder low compression be the cause of my car not starting. really need help and starting my second job in 2 days.

those compression numbers are terrible but it should still start....

if you're getting fuel, and air, then it must be a spark issue.

my compression ration it says to be at 9.6 to 1 and mine is 90 for cylinder one then 2 3 4 is 105 what does that mean?

it means that your #1 cylinder can't hold quite as much pressure as the others.....either the piston rings are allowing air by, or your valve seals are leaking. you want the compression numbers as close to one another as possible (less than 10% variance..?)

anyway i'm pretty sure that those numbers wouldn't prevent the car from starting.

i would take off the distributor, check for wear inside the cap, turn the shaft by hand, see if it spins freely....

what happens when you try & start it?

the cap and rotor is new. when i try to start it it sounds like it wants to start but just doesn't fire. and if i unplug the injectors after flooding the motor it just makes a popping noise.
