Ice Liquid Clay Bar Has anyone used it???
my 98 LS has spent almost 10 years in the florida sun and could use some help.. i can see my fingerprints in the white paint on the trunk and around the door handles...
i bought some ice liquid clay bar and plan on doing it tonight.. TOO DAMN HOT and NO SHADE where i live... i'd like to hear if anyone else has used it..

I have used it and really I wasn't very impressed. Do yourself a favor and buy a regular old clay bar, Clay Magic is the one I use most often, but Mothers also makes a nice clay bar kit, (little bit more pricey). It will pay off in the end.
my review....
i did it in this order.. (1) washed the hell out of the car with dawn dish soap to remove the wax. (2) left it wet and immediately used the Ice Liquid Clay on 1/2 the car, i also kept a bucket of clean water to rinse the applicator pad and wet it frequently while doing this. (3) RINSED and then did the other 1/2. (4) Washed the car again to remove all the residue from the liquid clay (and there was) (5) Wiped with the absorber, and hand waxed with a mothers product.
i am pretty impressed with the results. i think that i could have done a better job if i could of done it in the privacey of my own home and a better applicator to use other than what it came with. i felt the applicator pad was too flimsy so it was harder to give it a good scrubbing. also i had to do it at a local "self" car wash bay, at night, so that alone was working against me because the lighting wasn't good and i couldn't do one body panel at a time unless i felt like spending 20 bucks in quarters.
my car is white but it was VERY oxidized and my trunk was a CSI's best friend! the oxidation is gone, my fingerprints are gone, and no swirls... so all in all it was worth the $13. i have never used any other clay products to judge this against but this product did give new life to a 10 year old Florida Car Paint job..
