Default exploring options for larger DIY t-bodies.

I'm in the research stages of my F2D build. Initially looking to do a mostly stock F22A6 i/h/e, cam, cam gear, milled head, tuning. However I eventually want to build something crazy with ITB's. Since the largest motorcycle ITB's I've seen are 42mm, and twm makes 50mm for the K's I've been looking for something larger for my 2.2L build. So i've just been poking around to see what I could find.

Some kit....not sure what motor this is for. http://www.extrudabody.biz/ser...etail

Single ITB....45mm $99

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">Extrudabody ITBs are different. The difference is simple, elegant, and better for many applications and custom installation.

In a nutshell, instead of making an ITB that is made to fit a particular application, we make a Universal ITB. Our competitors either cast their ITBs or CNC them specific to an application and manifold mounting requirements. Instead, Extrudabody starts with, guess what, an extrusion. The extrusion is then machined to match up to all the ITB hardware - throttle shaft, plate, fuel injector, etc. Our ITB then connects to one of our Base Plates that adapt the universal ITB design to a bolt pattern specific to your intake manifold. To the right is an assembled ITB on top of a Weber-style Base Plate that could replace a DCOE carburetor.

You can also make your own custom base plate from plate aluminum. Now you probably understand why our design is so versatile. Instead of changing the whole ITB design for each and every application, we just change the much simpler Base Plates. This saves us money, saves you money, and means that you custom guys out there can make your own base plate with a band saw and a drill press.</TD></TR></TABLE>

Ducati makes a 50 or 52mm throttle body. I can't remember the exact size but its up there.

Although this seems like a good alternative. Too bad they don't make anything bigger.

thanks... Google does wonders I thought they were a good possible alternative to motorcycle ITB's.

The only disadvantage is that the motorcycle ITB's will come with sensors, injectors etc that may come in handy.
