Need Help with Gsr Ecu!!
Ok i bought a 99 Theft Recovery Gsr, no motor and Ecu. I also bought wrecked 2001 Gsr with every thing i need to put the 99 gsr together, my question is why are the ECU plugs different?? The 2001 P72 gsr ecu has 3 big plugs next to each other and the 99 has 2 big plugs and a small one. Do i need a 99 gsr ecu? do i have to change anything on the 2001 motor to run? Change main harness? Immobilizer? Thanks.

96-98 ecus are obd2a
99-01 ecus are obd2b
so it should plug in if its a 2001 ecu and a 99 shell, if it doesnt then you dont have a 99 shell or you dont have a 2001 ecu

WRONG!!!
I do swaps all the time! I think you should do some research!
Civic's 96-98 are OBD2a
Civic's 99-00 are OBD2b
Integra's 94-95 OBD1
Integra's 96-99 OBD2a
Integra's 00-01 OBD2b
I can bet my reputation on this INFO

wow normally id fight to the end and never admit that i am wrong, but i did some research and found out what you say is true, and i edited your post with further info
the reason i never realized is that in my state you dont have to get your ecu tested so we all run jumper harness with chipped obd1 ecu
