93 Del Sol headlights


My brights just stopped working.

I know the bulbs work because the low beams work

The fogs have not worked for quite some time but that doest matter yet.


I'm using a BC racing spec battery, I'm about to swap it for a better energizer battery with 650CCA, still has a 12.7v charge on it

I have used a multitude of different main fuses. I swapped the 60A main fuse with a 70A when I started running the alpine head unit. I have a suspicion that the added stress and weak battery caused one of these fuses to blow.

I have misplaced my Hayes manual, and don't see any broken fuses after my visual inspection.

I'm just trying to save a little time by asking this question here. I have lots of other issues that need my attention, especially since this del sol is getting painted very soon.

Plus my erratic handling from my poor alignment is ruining the ride quality, I have lots of work ahead of me.

i had some silverstars and it seemed like after only a few hours the brights burned out. I still have them in there and the low beams have worked fine for a year.

 

i have a 93 sol and had same prob. then found the blown fuse it looked fine but had small blow towards bottom. fog lights could be related to the main fuse do the power windows work?

 

thatcould also be a sign of a bad headlight switch
