Its the two step. That is a featue they use that runs real low timing and extra fuel to have the turbo boost. So you can come out of the hole at 30psi.

Then when you coming out of hte hole with 30psi then you break a damn ring gear and then you stuck there while the other car passes you buy it sucks....

it two step which in other words is the rev limiter. You set the two step which is just a button on the igntion box that holds the rev at a certain point when you give it full throttle.

My Haltech has a two step which I can also add antilag to produce boost in freerev or off the two step.

 

to my knowledge what it essentially does is it makes the combustion actually happen as it is leaving the combustion chamber and into the runners... finishing off the combustion in the runners that is... hence spooling up the turbo and creating that loud popping...

 

After a mustang revs on me and I catch him at the next light I will do it. Have the 2 step set at 4800 and seeing the mustang owners face is pricless. On more than one occasion I had to do this. MOst of the time the mustang guy would act like he is on his phone or talking to one of his dork friends in the back seat so he didnt have to get his *** handed to him. For the others that didnt know what was up..........figured it out before the next traffic light!!

 

so if i get the msd btm (boost timing master)... do any of them come with a 2 step in it or is there any way of adding a 2 step to it? this is one of my next mods...

I have a MSD 2-stage rev limited that works with my 6AL.

It is activated with a switch and well... whenever I use it, especially while moving (I pop it into neutral and activate rev limiter) 2 1/2 foot flames shoot out of my exhaust.

Works great with tailgators!

I have a friend over here with a fully done up WRX, and he's running a straight-pipe exhaust with unichip engine management, complete with ALS, full throttle shift, and launch control. He does it all the time

He told me a story of how he lined up at the lights with a riced out Civic one time, and how the little kid revved the **** out of honda to whatever his redline was whenever my friend would pop pop pop his scooby . The lights went green, and my friend jumped off the line like a bat out of hell, and the honda dropped his clutch and remained stationary, he must've broke his driveshaft or something

i'll be getting my Link ECU reprogrammed for ALS, full throttle shift, and launch control soon - didn't think i'd need them (or have fun with them) at the time, so I didn't ask for these options

Dude, I'm literally laughing out loud after reading that... "act like he's on the phone", hahahahaa... they know whats in store for them. That's probably what I miss most about my N/A Coupe.. I had the ET/MPH in a little sticker on the side rear windows... and when I'd pull up and they'd see it... they'd sink in their seats and not feel so "honcho" anymore...

 

i got one on the R ,. it scares people when hey wanna run and they dont knwo whasts going on thne you hear all kinds of rumbling and popping and then take off like a bat outta hell
