Zaca Fire in SoCal: It's Raining Ashes!
As some of you may or may not know, there has been a bad fire going on in SoCal near the canyons outside of Santa Ynez valley. The winds have blown A TON of ash towards Santa Barbara, and it has been raining down massive chunks for the past week and a half.
How bad is this ash for the cars paint? I park my car in a carport and I thought hat would help but it didn't. My car is now COVERED in ash, is there any special care that should be given when I wash it after the ash stops?

i remember when we had that massive fire down here in san diego a while back. the cedar fires. i came out around 7 in the morning and thought it was 7 at night dark as expletive. Any how what i did, is just took my car to the buggy wash, and used the high pressure system they have.
DONT let it sit. Ash is acidic, it will eat right through the paint if you let it sit on there... hose it off as soon as possible.
Keep hosing it until the fires out and the ash stops falling.
