90 legend 2.7L shifting problem =/

90 legend 2.7L shifting problem =/
ok so i got this legend that will drive ok if you manualy shift the gears but when in drive it seems like its just slipping real hard, but its ok if you start in 2nd and move through the gears into drive, any ideas?
