disc brakes question!!!
so theres no way i can put type r brakes on a gsr brakes it doesnt matter the extra lug i can do that but i just wanted to know if i can buy the type r disc and make it fit in the gsr brakes
the type r disk has 5 holes instead of 4. so no. you cant buy the disk and have it fit.
and you can make it fit, but you have to do the whole brake conversion. the lug studs go through the rotor. if the rotor has 5 holes, it will not fit a 4 lug hub.

the gsr front brake calipers are stamped 17cl14vn, 10.3" rotor. the type-r front brake calipers are stamped 17CL15VN, and uses a 23T bracket (11" rotor). the gsr & itr both have rear-disc brakes, 90-00 integra use 9.4" rotors & the itr w/ 10.3" rotors. the itr front caliper can be found in junkyards on many acura/honda (accord, cl, tl, rl, legend, etc). you can upgrade your brakes fairly easily w/o converting to 5-lug.
it is possible to put itr calipers on 94-00 integra front knuckles. you'll need to source out the 17CL15VN calipers. upon acquiring the calipers, you will need to take the caliper and bracket apart. the bracket (stamped 23T, 25T or 28T) will need to be sent to machine shop & milled 1/8" or 2-3mm (where the bracket mates with the knuckle). once you machine your bracket, you will also need to run a re-drilled 11" rotor from a +97 prelude. the machined 23T bracket will work with itr 17CL15VN calipers, legend 2-piston calipers & nsx calipers
as for the rear brakes, if you want to upgrade from a 9.4" to a 10.3", you'll need rear calipers from an ep3 or rsx. you'll need ep3 rotors (4X100 already) or rsx rotors (re-drill to 4X100)

your OP,

no, gsr front brakes are NOT the same size as +98 itr front brakes (the gsr caliper is smaller than the +98 itr caliper). the +98 itr caliper also uses a bigger brake pad (which is the same size pad found in legend 2-piston caliper & nsx caliper). the jdm 96 itr front brake calipers are the SAME as 94-01 usdm integra, but the jdm 96 itr hub/rotor is 114.3X4 pattern & the 94-00 usdm integra rotors are 10.3" 4x100

umm...type-r brakes on gsr brakes? i think you mean: gsr caliper/ itr rotor/5-lug hub swap on gsr knuckles

if you're swapping to a 5-lug hub & use the 11" itr rotor, the gsr calipers won't work, unless you buy an adapter bracket from http://www.fastbrakes.com. if you're looking for itr specs, use +98 itr calipers (17CL15VN) for the 11" itr rotor on 5-lug hubs.
for all the trouble you're going through to swap 5-lug hubs (in addition to 5-lug wheels & tires X4), it's going to cost you more in the end just for 1 more lug, 11" rotors on gsr calipers (w/ fastbrakes bracket). dollar for dollar, if stay 4X100 and upgrade to itr calipers (w/ machined 23T brackets), re-drilled 11" rotors on your gsr knuckles, it'll bring you to +98 integra type-r specs without spending all that hard-earned cash.
