wider radiator swap in eg
hey i;m new to the forum but i need some advice, information, anything to help.
i have a b18c1 engine in my eg civic. the radiator fan was broken. i found a guy with a used 95 gsr radiator. when i picked it up it was a lot wider than mine cause it had the ac and radiator fans on the same coil unit. is this radiator better because it is out of a gsr just like my engine? the swap doesnt seem too difficult, just the lower mounting brackets need to be move and welded.
question is whether the larger radiator is of any benefit or damage to my engine.

You will need to make or find a way to custom mount it. If you are looking to keep your AC, and keep a cooler engine, invest your money into an aftermarket replacement for your currect radiator, such as fluidyne or whatever other company's there are that make aluminum rad's. They cool better and much more efficiently, a night and day difference over stock.
Most of the time a stock radiator suits a b-series motor just fine thats already in the car. For your Fan, you can wire it up manualy if you wish, and let it run at the flick of a switch in your cabin.

hey man, i have an eg with a gsr swap. i put a 95 del sol b16 radiator in. it's twice as thick and it's a direct bolt in. basicaly it's the exact same radiator, but thicker. no headache. about $130 brand new.
Get an upgraded dual core radiator from autozone or from a del sol and call it a day. You got the $$$ route and pick up a fluidyne, koyo or even a HASTE tri-core half radiator that allows you to use your stock fan...
