Default RSX HID Kit Problems and Recomendations

I have an '03 RSX Type S and im looking to buy an HID kit. I have read about people having problems with aftermarket bulbs burning out early as i have also had these problems with silverstar bulbs barely lasting 3 months. Does anyone know of these same problems happening with HIDs, and if not Does anyone have a recomendation for a good quality kit for a good price? Thanks for all the help.

to be honest man, people will tell you mixed opinions/responses/recommendations. there are people who will tell you it is ok to get pnp hid kits and there are people who will tell you to do it right by retrofitting. to be honest, you wont get an exact answer here or anywhere because everyones opinion on this will be different and they will never settle because well, everyone's opinion will be different.

imo, just decide depending on your budget. if your not so wealthy, dont get them at all. your stock headlights are fine (and dont bother with higher temp bulbs, they wont last long). if you have some money, get the pnp hid kits (most come with warranty). if you have money, do a retrofit. but you gotta remember, all lights die out eventually. haha.

hope this helps.

buy quality bulbs. remember dont touch the bulbs with your bare hands and if you do just wipe it down with alcohol. double check your wiring, especially your grounds.

1 do not buy silverstars lol, but hids last for a long time. there are some vendors on ht with very good prices on hid kits.

i don't recommend buying aftermarket bulbs
i'm not sure but does it now have an incorrect "spark" or wattage as oppose to the stock bulbs?

i had some on my last car for over a year and the wires/connectors were corroded and damaged

i've had hids for over a year on my current car (just recently put my stock one back in)

they serve their purpose well
never had any problems (if installed correctly)
and they look pretty nice minus the crappy cutoff

most will recommend retrofitting but for the majority, they're just out of the price range
