my tuner wantes me to go with a sc61 on my b16 so i was wonderin what kind of #'s other people are getting so let me know

what are your power goals, why specifically that turbo? What configuration? what is it that you're trying to do? There are tons of options that are available, that work as well as the SC61 in both the Garrett and Borg-Warner worlds.

dude you need to see what your goals are, and you need to fond a compitent tuner.

more importantly are where you want your power to be made and what fuel you are goin to run.

I had horrible spool with an sc61 on my b16, not a very good street powerband imo.

I went 10.4 @ 141 with 25s and 10.4 @ 139 with some beat-up 26s.

my goal is 400 and if anybody has another turbo that is better for around the same price please tell me because all i hear on ht is people talking up the sc61

the spool up is going to pretty much suck. but if you are racing from a stop, thats where your 2 step comes into play, you can build whatever # of boost you want.

your bone stock engine should handle 350 hp to the tires all day everyday.

it all depends on your power goals, if you want to stay stock block the gt28 would be a great daily driver turbo, but if you ever want to upgrade your motor an sc61 would work better

Not really, I get 10psi by 5000rpms.

for 400whp, there are a lot better choices out there....IMO the SC61 is too big for your goals and will have a bad powerband for the street

Love my SC44. 81.5 GSR. full boost 4k. capable of over 400whp easy... maybe an option for you.

True, but the SC44 must be rather pushed to make that power due to its turbine wheel.
