Default 1996 Honda Civic EX Wiring Procedure

Can someone tell me how to connect the wiring for a trailer from my 1996 Honda Civic EX? I am installing a hitch, and instead of them doing the wiring I would like to do it myself. Should I be doing this? I am just hauling a 3x7 trailer.
Thanks in advance,
R

although companies make hitches for these cars, honda doesn't recommend using them to tow anything.

but i'm sure you're already set on getting one because it sounds like you have a trailer already. you'll need to tap into the wires to the brake lights and turn signals in the trunk. there are clips you can get to tie in to the wires without cutting them but i can't remember what they are called.

when you get the wires hooked up just run them through one of the rubber plugs in the trunk.
