i have read all the posts i can find and i still cant figure it out....

ok i am doing an automatic to manual conversion on my LS and i am using a GSR tranny.... i am ready to put the axles but i cant seem to get the driverside axles apart from the halfshaft that i pulled out of the LS ... the passenger side fit right up and i bolted up my GSR half shaft but when i get to seperate the other axel it would not come apart... should i try harder to get them apart or do i have to get different axle... please help...?

are the axles from my ls different from the ones i need...? or can i use these...?

 

Im pretty sure they are the same. Im no expert.
I am replacing my axles on my gsr and i was looking on ebay for new ones.
It was saying they would work on automatics or 5 speeds.
Hope this helps...they also ask if if its abs or not.
Call napa and have them compare the part numbers if your still unsure.

There is another part of your axle further over toward the passanger side. This is the part that actually goes into your tranny. Pry that part out and both parts will come out. It will be much eaiser to get the part of the drive shaft you need to come apart. Just reuse the end that goes into the tranny and you should be fine.
