I installed some new ground wires in my car and they all hook up to the negative side of my battery. The 7 wires go to the strut tower, intake manifold, valve cover, headlight tower, steering unit or alternator, distributor, and transmission. Once I got everything hooked up I go to crank up my car and lights flicker and then everything dies. Car won't turn on, lights won't turn on, nothing will turn on. So uh... an idea guys as to what I can do to fix the problem?

 

Take off the "grounding kit"

 

take it off on the distributor. and alternator first. If everything works well. You found your problem.

 

Why do you have 7 wires? One fat grnd wire from the battery neg to the engine block is all the engine needs.

 

It sounds like a grounding kit, like I said, they're supposed to do a bunch of crap, but nothing really proven
