advice for a total noob?
Hey all...
I normally drive an '04 civic sedan, but recently got a lower-mileage 1992 civic ex sedan. I was hoping to do some low-end upgrades on it but am kinda new to tinkering around. All I can really do is basic maintenance, and the most I've ever done is put on a new exhaust (with uber tutorial assistance) but it was not anywhere close to HP. In short, I know how cars work in general but I'm not really sharp on the installations.
So I was hoping to get some pointers on where some easy places to start would be without blowing all my money away? Keep in mind you're talking to a dumbass, thanks.

and like he said, he's mechanically inclined, turbo is gonna give him troubles
i'd say have a shop do a b-series motor swap for you, it'll be stock and super reliable, while having fun

no way. i've instructed a 16 yr old on how to do a b series swap.
he really just needs to read and figure out what he wants on his own. what do you want? be realistic. think about whats practical and useful.
