cold engine warms up quickly.
engine is a d16y7. its a new swap to replace my old 300k d16y7 that had a head gasket problem. new problem is the new engine warms up really quick. from a dead cold start with the air temperature at 65-70 degrees, it takes the motor about 2-3 minutes to fully warm up to normal operating temps. im afraid this motor also has a head gasket problem. might be my fault this time cause i hooked the cherry picker chain on the tranny and the INTAKE MANIFOLD
maybe all the milk chocolate residue from the old motor and its blown head gasket caused the radiator to run less efficiently? did a timing belt and water pump change on the new motor. fan kicks on, thermostat has 300 miles on it. i hope i dont regret not doing a head gasket change on this block when i had it out of the engine bay.
