alright, so i got pulled over for having front tints. i dont care. but whats wierd is, the cop didnt give me back my drivers license id. he was really nice and lenant, and he just gave me a ticket for which i have two options. pay it off or take the tints off and go to court and they'll rip the ticket up.

was he suppose to keep my id? or did he just forget to give it back?

 

Just like any other stop, the police officer should've given it back. Call the station and ask for your ID back.

 

Haha I bet there is a way to get your ticket thrown out because of that.

 

how much is tints anyways because this kind of ticket, ive never seen before.

Yeah, its a fix-it ticket, so I've heard. Just take off the tint. Meanwhile, get your license back.

I had something simliar happen to me. Cop almost drove away with my motorcycle keys. I had to get off the bike and wave her down before she realized she still had my keys.

Just call up the court and ask for the officer that gave you the ticket and tell them the situation, should be able to have it avalible for pick up or they could mail it to you.

$106.50 where im from, couldve just been a mistake but might be able to get out of the ticket because of it, cop broke my license in front of me and i got out of the ticket for it

What does the ticket say? Should have a number on there as well.

 

check the phone # on the ticket and go to that police station

I only have rear tint now after being forced to remove it at inspection in DE.

As far as the cop taking your license, it was an honest mistake im sure.

 

the piece the cop gave me is a carbon copy. its really not that clear and i can bearly see any of the words. i can sort of identify his star #. ill just go bike to the two local police stations and check it out. they should have it at the stations right?

its probably nothing, my aunt had the same problem 2 years ago and the stupid cop forgot to give it back to her. She was driving a ITR too haha....but its just the cops fault bro, it means nothing.

 

cant you just take a picture of your car w/o the tints and show it in court? i believe a freind of mine did that and it worked

lol obviously u guys dont get pulled over much. u get ur license bak when u pay the ticket via mail or u get it bak in court. id go 2 court they drop tint tickets so fast. just have a fake reciept that u took the tins off or take a pic of another car with no tints.
