I plan on doing a full power conversion in my 99 civic dx. I am getting all the necessary stuff for power windows, the power door panels, etc. What I want to know is if I can wire up the oem door lock/unlock buttons to my aftermarket door actuators so that i can unlock/lock the doors with the oem buttons as if it were factory. That way it will eliminate my need for all the oem honda power door lock parts.

 

Yes, you can use the one button (driver door) to run aftermarket actuators. You'll need to build a relay pack consisting of 2 relays unless your kit came with an actuator controller with 2 wires coming out to hook to an alarm.

Could you elaborate a little more on that please, I'm not really understanding.

 

Give me a link to the EXACT door lock kit you got. Is it just actuators or did it come with wires and a little box with wires coming out of it? Let me know what you have and I'll tell you how to wire it.

They are just actuators with 2 wires coming out. My actuators came with my car and car alarm...I'm not sure what they are. I replaced one of the doors with an ebay actuator though.
