I am currently building my poor mans type R which consists of a B18C Block with some JDM P30 Pistons, GSR Rods, ARP Rod Bolts and Head Studs. Intake, Header, Test Pipe, Exhaust, Throttle Body, S2 Intake manifold, S2S2 Cams, Blox Valve springs and retainers, milled B16 head and a spoon sports head gasket. Now I have no AC or PS so should I go ahead and get it? I hear its balanced from the factor is this true?
Yes, its a balanced OEM part, but it does not have a damper ring in it. You really do not want to use those because without the damper ring the harmonics at higher rpm can cause crank and oil pump damage. I had a N1 CTR pulley for a few weeks, then took my stock ITR pulley to King Motor sports to be lightened. They mill off the extra pulleys for AC and PS, and balance the pulley. It weighs a lot less than stock, a little more than the N1, but it won't do any damage.
I would get the stock one lightened, or find an aftermarket unit with a damper ring.

Thanks for the great info
By any chance would you happen to know where I could get an ITR Crank Pulley to send it out to get lightened?

You can lighten any stock Honda pulley, granted it isn't cracked or chipped. It doesn't have to be an ITR specifically. If yours is in decent shape you can have it lightened. It would weigh about the same as a lightened ITR pulley.

It was $90 to mill, balance, and powder coat the pulley. I didn't do a before and after dyno, and you don't feel it seat of the pants. You won't notice a night and day difference with something like that. Nonetheless, it reduces rotational mass and frees up some extra hp. You get it wherever you can, so I can't say it wasn't worth it.
