Default recharging a/c?

I have a 96 LX 4cyl. a/c is blowin out hot air, but the compressor runs fine. I figure i have a slow leak somewhere, but i was wondering if there is an easy way to recharge the compressor with one of the a/c recharge kits you can get at any auto parts store? I dont know where I would "plug" the end of the tube in to shoot the freon in.

I was concerned about there not being room for the freon if regular air is in there beause of the leak. Any input would be greatly appreciated in this muggy august weather.

Thanks,
Mike

Check first to see if your temp **** is actually actuating the blend door. It also actuates the bypass valve on the heater hose under the hood. It's the most common cause of 'compressor runs but ac blows hot'. The bellcrank for the blend door is on the right side of the console where the carpet meets the firewall. Get your hand or eye on it while moving the temp ****.

Agree. Also, every A/C system requires a nearly exact amount of refrigerant to operate normally. Too much is bad and too little will make the system inefficient.
