no girdle, no deal?
i'm picking up a gsr short block for $250. the guy told me it was a running motor and complete except for the pistons and rods. (i was gonna sleeve and rebuilt anyways so wouldn't matter) when i saw the motor there was no oil pan, no big deal but i looked under and there is also no windage tray, oil pick up, girdle or bolts, everything else is there as a short block. i've been looking around for these simple things and seems no one has any or the new parts are enough to get me a complete short block already. should i still get it?
$250 isnt bad for a short block, remember that usually a complete gsr swap goes for over $2k. i found an aftermarket girdle if you are intersted that i found on ebay when i was just window shopping. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...ZWDVW
Depending on your location im sure you canf ind a junk yard with b18 parts.

yeah i was looking at that too. i emailed him to see if it would work with at gsr. i know for some if used on an ls the hole have to be redone to fit the bigger bolts.
plan to make a lot of power with that motor, aiming for 600+. will the stock girdle need upgraded anyways? this has cought my attention:
