Ok, so before the nasty posts start, I did try a search on this but maybe I have no skills. I swear I have seen a link for this question here before but o well. I have a B16 head on an LS B18B. Do I use the headgasket for the B16 head or the LS block? While I am asking questions that I should already know the answers to.... What timing belt do I use? Thanks for the help

 

you can use a gsr timing belt...

 

GSR belt, VTEC water pump and the gasket that fits your bottom end. IE: B18B bottom, B18B gasket.

Umm no Go with a headgasket that has the holes for the dowel pins that you will need now that you have a vtec head. Golden Eagle makes a good one.

You are 2/2

If your using a B16 water pump go with a B16 belt it has a diffrent amount of teeth than say a B18. If you go with any b18 water pump get a B18 belt. Hey look at that.

And to answer your next question all 96 and newer oil pumps are all the same (b series that is)

ALL VTEC water pumps are the same tooth count. Only one different is non-VTEC. Furthermore, you are more wrong on the B16 belt. IT's shorter due to the lower deck height of a B16. Here you go: http://www.team-integra.net/fo...15789

Golden Eagle makes a kit for LS VTEC. Some say use B16 head gasket while others would say use LS head gasket. But others say its the same. The one that comes with the Golden Eagle LS VTEC kit is meant for a LS.
