Default brake shield rubbing rotor

I have got a problem with my brake/dust shield rubbing the back of my rotor. I keep bending it back and forth into different places, and sometimes it gets better only to become worse. I know a lot of guys just remove the shields, but I need to know if I have to remove the rotor or not to get rid of them. My car is a 97 integra GS.

thanks

Pretty sure you have to take your rotor off...but not really that big a deal...

Remove the rotor. Remove the three mounting screws. (I used a small chisel and a hammer to turn the heads CCW.) Split the shield and remove it.
