yes it is a good price..those are about the same price on the yahoo japan auction sites.
DOT approved: not sure in that size...just call them up i guess.

The AD07 is DOT legal in the States in other sizes. That size is not available in the States but I would assume it's DOT legal also. Since that size isn't available in the States, you really don't have much to compare for pricing. However, in other sizes, it's more expensive than the RT-615, whereas this price is about the same as the RT-615 in 205/50-15, so I would say it's a good price, that's the tire you want.
The AD07 is similar to the Falken Azenis RT-615 in performance, IOW it's designed to excel in traction on dry pavement, without any concern for treadlife or performance in rain, areas in which it's not that great. It was included in the Car and Driver comparison test and the Grassroots Motorsports test, so you can consult those articles to see how it compared against the other tires tested.
