the guy i bought my car from like 3 years ago said he had the throttle body port matched to the intake manifold. anyone know what mm that would be?

lol when i pulled mine i ended up with coolant all over the floor
make sure you dont disconnect the coolant lines and also get a new gasket (between TB and IM) while you are at it (they're less than 5.00)

Why don't you bypass the coolant line that runs through the TB instead? A thermal gasket between the IM and TB will have minimal if any benefit.

usually the throttle body doesnt leak- the gasket does
getting a new TB isnt going to solve anything- you will still have the vacuum leak (if its the gasket)
go to autozone and get a new gasket and pop it in

i am seriously starting to think you are retarted.... you are confused man. I ALREADY HAVE MY THROTTLE BODY PORT MATCHED. i do not know what size it is though, so i cant buy a new gasket. the throttle body isnt leaking, the gasket is. but i dont know what size to buy. do you get it now? im not talking about buyin a new throttle body.
thats because you modified the thread i replied to after i replied to it

yes i got it- i got it before you had to modify your post for it to make sense
i dont know much about port matching but if he bored out the TB and then port matched it it could be 61, 62, 63, 64mm...., etc.
get a caliper, measure it, and then get the right gasket

Buy the stock gasket, scribe it with the TB, and then cut it.</TD></TR></TABLE>
or, like he said, you could just take the TB out and outline the opening onto the gasket and then cut out the gasket to make it the size you need
there's no way for us to say what size exactly your TB is

when you bore out a throttle body you can only bore it out so far untill the sides would be gone right?
that would mean that the size wouldent change.
so why not use a OEM gasket?
your all retarded. lol

the whole point is that we dont know what size it is bored out to (if it even has been bored out)
BUT his TB and IM are port matched so sticking a stock gasket that is the wrong size in there will basically ruin the benefits of have them port matched (i think)

did you not read what i wrote? obviously not because then you would see that boring somthing out dosnt change the gaskets size. just think about how you would bore out a throttle body then hopefully you would realize.
a stock gasket should be used with no modification..

i was thinking that if you bored out the TB then the gasket would have to be made larger to accommodate the increased area of the TB
something like this /\
edit: i was thinking you would have to shave off that extra red part of the gasket

if you look the outside stays the same and thats what matters for the gasket..</TD></TR></TABLE>
your an idiot, if he ported out the inside of the throttle body to say 62mm and gets a stock gasket the opening of the gasket will be 60mm and be a restriction
and to the op, did he get the manifold port matched or the throttle body??

the gasket will be going around the outside of the opening, so changing the inside size would have no effect on the gasket size.
how many times will i have to explain it?
have you ever actually looked at a throttle body?
