Default Sway Bar swap/install questions on 95 hatchback

I just bought a 95 civic hatchback CX and I'm selling a 93 civic EX coupe.

I want sway bars in my hatchback since right now it does not have any.

I was wondering if I can take the parts from the EX coupe to install into the CX hatchback. And install the hatchback parts in the EX coupe. Will this work/ be safe for the EX coupe?

I'd obviously tell the buyers that it does not have sway bars, but the cars a piece of crap and I doubt whoever buys it will be using it for extreme handling.

Should work out fine, but I don't know how well the sales will go if you tell them you removed some parts from the car you're trying to sell, you know? It may be worth it to sell that coupe for a worthwhile price, and use that money to buy some better sway bars and suspension components. It's just good business.

just take everything off the ex and swap onto the cx. it should bolt right up. make sure you take the LCA's cuz the cx ones dont have holes for the sway bar endlinks

Yeah it has other problems so I won't be able to sell it for much more than a $1000 anyway, it's been in an accident and I fixed it myself, and the engine is leaky and underpowered among other random problems.

also my budget for the car is close to 0 so swapping it wouldn't cost me much, except for the slight devaluation.

roughly how much would it cost for new sway bars? and how much do you think junkyards would sell a stock set for.

as for swapping other things from the EX to the CX what would you recommend, I already swapped the gauges so I have a tachometer (dont worry i kept the original speedometers in the original cars so there isn't a problem with the mileage reading)

$1000 dollars huh? Well, in that case, I may say take what you can use, and remove anything you can sell separately. Then sell the shell. It may take a little more time, but you could end up with free sway bars AND $1000 for all the parts you take off the car.

ex: the transmission you could either sell for around $200 itself, or you could apply it to your engine for the shorter gearing. It may not be worth it, being the CX engine, but this is just an example of some of the stuff you could do with the parts. The possibilities are endless if you take the time to take advantage of them.

Well I bought the civic for $1100 and it looked like this: http://public.fotki.com/Builde....html

then I fixed up the body, and it looked like this
http://public.fotki.com/Builde....html

then I got in an accident and it looked like this
http://public.fotki.com/Builde....html

then I fixed the damage from the accident and now it looks like this
http://public.fotki.com/Builde....html

and I want to sell it like that, but with steelies. around where I live I can probably sell this for about $1200 but no less than $1000

for the shell I'd probably get $400

I'd swap the transmission but the donor one grinds from 1st to 2nd often and has 35,000 more miles on it. and since I will probably swap the engine on the hatchback next summer I don't feel like messing with the drive train right now.

i wish the moonroof was a bolt on swap haha.

the hatchback I bought for a $1000 (it was a steal) and it looks like this

Well, sell the transmission, and mention it is AS IS.

Take the moonroof out with the motor, and all the workings, and you could get some good money.

you could sell the fenders, seats and body panels as well.

I'm just trying to let you know what kinds of things could get you money out of this because, as a whole, that teal thing looks like a piece of crap (no offense).

Take what you need, part it out, and you'll get what you want out of selling it. It'll take more time, but it will be worth it.

And all one color.

In fact, it looks exactly like my car did when I just got it. You're lucky to come across that thing.
