New quarter panels?
Would you buy on a civic ('95) that had some rust on the rear quarter panels IF you wanted to eventually have a clean car?
How much does it usually cost to weld em on and do the body work? Not from a repair shop, but someone who does it on the side.....
Is this crap if you want a nice clean car? What about pretty clean? Should I avoid the whole process, even if the car is a GREAT deal?
Is bondo some real junky crap to use instead of welding?
I live in northeast Ohio so rust is a big problem, but I don't want a dirty rusty civic with shitty paint. I have enough money to spend to get a clean one... but this is a deal for a nice car

how much r u getting the car for?
welding all the rust up is what MUST be done to keep it away. do not use bondo, it'll only hide it but make it worse in about a year or so.
i live in northeast ohio too, and i got a rusted crx, not bad at all, just to weld and grind everything, the shop im going to is charging me 350 including brand new rockers/rear jack points installed.
then i will lay epoxy primer, filler, and sealer before i paint

if you can weld it yourself, or have a buddy that can do it for you, it's not too difficult. i replaced the passenger side quarter on my hatch which only cost $30, and shaped a few pieces on my driver side with $10 worth of sheet metal. but i have no clue how much a shop would charge to do it
there is a place that makes a "honda patch" for the rust. its actually metal that they press to fit eg ek or whatever qp's you have with rust, so you can save the quarterpanel and still have the same lines. ill try and dig up the name of the site.
