anyone know how cost-effective/easy it would to take the engine out of an 83 accord and swap something fuel-injected into it?

i believe the current engine is 1.8L EK1 3v

 

i dont think anyting short of a free engine, free fabrication work and free materials is really going to be cost effective, considering the value of ur car is probably 50-100 dollars retail?

 

let's forget cost effective. what would be involved to go from carb to fuel injected -- just need a rough idea of cost.

 

thing is when u convert from carb to fi, ur gonna need to redo your whole fuel system. the carb runs at likke very low psi, 5-6psi? and FI runs at like 30-40psi

then u would need to compleltely rewire the car, inside out.

this job will not be cheap, unless u do everyting urself. if u want to try to attack a job like this yourself, i would suggest geting an entire crashed car from the yard, so u have all the parts u need.

or at the very least get a front clip of the car. so u have the majority of the wiring and waht not.
