Redline Time Attack - Summit Point, WV September 29th-30th
Hello everyone! It's that time again. Redline Time Attack will be visiting Summit Point Raceway in West Virginia for the 2nd year in a row. We are looking forward to this event with a lot of anticipation. Our inaugural event last year was a success and we expect this year's event to be nothing short of outstanding.
More and more top tuner companies and racers are expressing interest in coming out and being involved. We will be expanding our High Performance Driving Event on the Saturday of the event with formal instruction available to everyone (and mandatory for first timers). We're working on a much larger vendor midway and manufacturer presence this year, including representation from tire manufacturers and vehicle manufacturers.
For those of you interested in taking your car out on the track, we have kept our entry fees very reasonable for this year. The entry fee for Saturday's High Performance Driving Event is only $175 and you can expect to receive 2.5 hours of On Track time. There is no racing on Saturday, simply hot lapping and practice.
The entry fee for the Redline Time Attack on Sunday is only $200. If you want to attend both days of the event, the entry fee is only $350.
Here is a link to our registration page for the event:

We are working on a couple of ideas for a pre-event promotional date. Please visit our website for updates on what you can expect to see at the event (drivers, teams, vendors, entertainment, etc). Spectator entry fee for the event will only be $15 (good for both days)... and if you get your hands on one of our event promotional fliers, those are good for $5 off (you will also be able to download the coupon from our website).
If you have any questions for me, please post them here. You can also call us if you have a question that you need answered quickly. We hope to see some of you out at the track!

The number of top Time Attack competitors and teams confirmed for this event continues to grow:
AMS Performance, EVO Chicago
JIC Magic, 305z and RX-8, California
DTM Motorsports, EVO Virginia
Top Speed, Subaru Georgia
Crawford Performance, Subaru California
GSC Motorsports, EVO South Carolina
JRZ Suspension, Porsche GT3
The Front Wheel Drive divisions are still pretty vacant at this time. If Chris Rado can get his Scion tC repaired in time, we expect him to be there competing for the Unlimited FWD Division crown. I'd really like to see some well prepared Hondas at this event. I know you guys are out there! :-)

Hey guys,
Only about three weeks to go!
The early fall weather should be perfect for this event.
Also, just a side note. DSport Mag will be out there with feature coverage for this event to make all your sponsors happy! Or if your really lucky you'll just get a cool pic of your car in a magazine.

I don't see to many Honda's jumping to take the win for this event.
There is only one Honda Civic Si in the FWD class.
I know there has to be some racers in the region to go up against the Scions and Foci that are competing. Is there no Honda time attackers out there?

The Honda-challenge National Championships are on Sept. 14,15,16. I would bet most people are waiting till after that event to sign up for any other events. If I have any tires, brakes, $$, left over and a non crashed up car then I would consider the trip out to Summit

Totally understand the NASA Championships issue. This year we have a bit of a gap between our event and that one. Also, our event is following the Championships event this year unlike last year.
Hopefully we'll see a few of you guys and gals make it out to our event after you complete the Championships event. It would be good for many of the spectators at this event to see a full field of FWD cars battling it out!

We just confirmed that the television show "RedlineTV", as seen on SPEED, will be at the Summit Point event capturing footage for a future 30 minute episode covering the entire event! This is great news for all Time Attack fans and enthusiasts as the sport of Time Attack racing continues to gather attention and continues to grow!
we (hybridynamics) are in the process of finishing a "modified" acura integra. I am very excited for the chance to compete in this event. If all goes as planed the car will be on the dyno soon and ready for a shake down. Is or was there a deadline for registration?
watch out for Stephen Pilkerton in a Type R powered 4 door civic racing for FunKtion Auto / Omegarace.
he is one of the guys to beat in WDCR autocross Street Mod class.
has some Summit Lapday experience in his civic and in a Radical SR3
also check out Scott Blair in a 1995 BMW m3 driving for FunKtion Auto / Omegarace.com . he has got a good amount of Summit and VIR experience
he is currently WDCR STU class leader with 1 event to go to before he clinches 1st.
He will also be co-driving at SCCA Solo II championship in Lee Piccione's B-Stock 300zx.

Took care of the motor issues following the California Speedway event this February. The car has been running VERY strong at the events they have entered it the rest of this year.

YES, you can compete on Sunday if you come out and take the class on Saturday.
We'll get you up to speed safely on a road course.

The Saturday HPDE program for novices will be very informative and helpful.
Classroom 1, 9:45am: "The Safety Dance"
Classroom 2, 1:00pm: "One Track Mind"
Classroom 3, 3:45pm: "Speed Secrets"
You will also get at least one 20-minute session on the track with an instructor riding shotgun. And your first session will be lead-follow behind an instructor as well.
We're really looking forward to helping with that portion of the event,
Jon

Looks like both Modified FWD and Unlimited FWD are very low on registrations. This is a great opportunity for some of you NASA and SCCA racers to enter your perfectly legal cars and possibly get more press and exposure from this one event, than you have received all year long. Time Attack is BLOWING up and this event is going to send shockwaves through the industry. Bang for the buck, Redline Time Attack = Better Return on your investment. Period. Top magazines AND television shows are covering this event. Now is your chance.
Or you can let Chris Rado continue to run away with the Unlimited FWD crown in his Scion. ;-)

See you gusy Sat ! Did anyone else get stuck at the Days Inn ?? It looks kinda ghetto on Hotels.com . I called the hotel with the promo code but, knowing my luck all those rooms were full ! Anyways , If you see me out there yell at me . I'll be walking around with a big back pack, camera and an AMS shirt on
To anyone who was shooting on Saturday, I am interested in purchasing any photos you might have taken of me, while out during all three run groups on Saturday.
