Default During horn installation

So today I was bored, went to dealership and bought the fit horn everyone has been talking about.

Removed bumper, installed the horn, pressed the key and nothing... few more times and still nothing... put the old horn back on then pressed the key and nothing.......

Well I put everything back on with the old horn thinking that I probably messed up the connector and was about to go to the dealership to ask them to check it out. But after I put everything back on, the old horn worked. hmmm....

So took everything apart again, replaced the old horn with fit horn, and pressed the key still nothing, tried the steering wheel and got nothing... Well I'm thinking the car probably know that I have hood open and bumper removed or something so I put everything back in place but this time with the new fit horn installed.

Whola, now it works after I put everything back on.

So I guess if you are going to do the same thing as me, be sure to put everything back on then try your horn. Otherwise it wouldn't work and will have you take it apart and put it together serveral times before you can figure it out. Hope it saves some time on yours and not like me, wasted a lot of time even though I have plenty of time anyway.

You have to have a ground for electricity to work.

If you are half smart as I think you are, you'd know what my answer really meant instead of taking it word for word.

If you need to know how to work the electrical system to replace your horn, you need to not to mod anything on your car.

P.S. way to offend the ladies, I feel really sorry for your girl/wife if you have one.
