Default Canadian #00481

Hey all, I've been on the forum for the last 6 monthes just reading and learning tons. I haven't posted too much because I don't know nearly as much as others on here and don't really want to make useless posts. Anyways, here's a few pics of my 97. I picked heR up stock in January from an owner who had no idea what he had. Right now, I'm just mainly focussed on bringing it back to showroom condition while adding a few tasteful mods.

BTW, they're old plates, so don't worry.

But fear not, if you have a question, ask.

Welcome.

For now the plans are leave it mostly stock and just get it back to how it looked and drove from the factory. It's going in for $7500 worth of new CW paint next tuesday. It has a blown rear shock as well, so last week I ordered a set of PIC Selects for heR. She's also burning a fair bit of oil, so next spring I'm going to rebuild the engine with CTR pistons, Mugen headgasket and Skunk stage 2 cams. I just want to keep it reliable and relatively stock looking for now.

It looks fine from a distance, but there are lots of chips scratches and about a million door dings. The hatch was also spray bombed and there are splotches of touch up paint everywhere.

Gotta remember that's like $20US.

Nice R. Get the shocks, and the top of the intake box and call it good.

haha... a few years ago that was exactly the case, but now us Canadians are enjoying how far our dollar goes vs. the American greenbacks.... $1cad = $0.95usd as of today

Car's looking good and agree with your suggestions

Sweet 97.

One tip: put the top cover back on your airbox.

Nice caR btw. </TD></TR></TABLE>Hell yeah, leave an R anywhere in the Greater Toronto Area unattented and it will be gone in hours if not minutes. I would say that its almost as bad as So-cal. I work in cali a few months out of the year and have heard too many stolen honda stories from my buds down here and read too many posts on H-T with cali sigs. Even in Calgary its not safe. BTW congrats on one nice 97!! Keep it nice and safe!!!!

Not too sure CTR pistons are the best for your ITR. I've heard the car bogs when installed. Not sure if someone else from HT has experience with this though....

Yah, airbox cover has been back on for a couple months now. I had it off for about a week, then bought a new filter and put the cover back on. Thanks for all the compliments, I'll definately keep you all posted on what's going on with it.
