They were worth the money when I bought them (like 35 bux or something like that).
Some people say they don't last long, but mine have lasted fine for god knows how long

Mine haven't faded, but I found out APC Hyper White bulbs are the same damn bulb (construction even looks the same, color is the same, etc).. The APC bulbs are cheaper though.
I've heard of people having issues with them (SilverStars) blowing out, but I've never experienced it besides one foglight bulb which blew out in my DEPO foglights because the housing leaked and water splashed on it.
The light does not fade. I've never heard of modern automotive bulbs having significant fading issues though.

I have them in both my Lancer and the Civic. I've only had one go out on the Lancer, and that happened one after a 7-hour trip and I hit the hugest pot hole own to man...it broke the filment.
But overall...I've give the product & it's customer service an A-

The problem with that is if I blow a bulb, I have to order a replacement. Bulbs that I must order to replace are a pain in the ***.

Mine have lasted a good while now. I was freaking out when I heard they didn't last too long, because I had just spent $40 on them. They have some pretty good light output too.

I was dissappointed with silverstars. Both my high lights burned out. They aim themselves too far downwards, i can't even aim my headlights up high enough to get good distance out of them. Silvania cool blues are much better in my opinion.

It's easy to keep a stock spare bulb on hand in the event that one burns out, and then swap it for the X-treme Power replacement once it comes in.

Mine burned out in about 8 months for the first one and a few months later on the second one. Good thing I kept the bulbs that were in there. Light output wasn't much better either.
I didn't touch the bulbs. I actually wore doctors gloves. I have a box of them that I use every time I work on the car. The ladies like my hands nice and clean.

Bulbs don't aim themselves.
The construction of the bulb does not make the light point anywhere special.

I have plenty of extra bulbs here and enough to replace a blown bulb with a bulb of approximately the same color. I wouldn't be able to stand driving down the road with one stock yellow bulb and one bright white bulb. It would get on my nerves.
I even just asked Eran, if one of his Phillips blew out, he could probably find a replacement here that approximately matches it, right? And he agreed. I asked him if he'd still want a new replacement that matches the Phillips and if he would order a new one because the other bulb replacing the blown Phillips would get on his nerves. And he said yes.
I'm not saying, "Oh noes, I won't have a replacement at all!" I'm saying, it'd be a pain to have to order a replacement bulb and wait for it to get here.

I went from stock bulbs to SilverStars a few years ago when I lived in DE. I used to park behind my neighbor's brand new white Mazda6 every night. The stock bulbs made her car look somewhat yellowish and dull. Upon replacement with SilverStars however, the car almost hurt to look at when parking at night.
Stock bulbs just blow.
Look at Eran's comparison lighting thread. He has a brand new stock bulb which he compared his lighting to.

I retract my earlier statement. I adjusted my headlights properly. I give these bulbs a
The low beams are really bright, and shine very far. I plan on buying another set after these.
