i hate 240sxses!!!!!!!!!!
i have a couple of friends who are sick into nissan and their 240sxes
the all have sr-20 engines and claim to have over 200hp.
they are always saying they'll "smoke me" cuz i have a honda.
i currently own a 93 ex coupe with a d16z6
i have around $1,000, i am getting ready to do a swap
but i cant decide what swap
i need a swap that gets me close to 200hp all motor
and i cant afford k-series
all i want is to "smoke" 240s, and keep up with STi and EVOs
is there anything besides K-series that can give me that
and i am currently looking into b20 or Ls turbo, which would you recommend?

well you're not gonna get any of that for $1k.... but ls turbo should easily keep up with 240's. the only 200 hp all motor i believe is k series... i believe b16 is 160 b18c5(itr) is 180 or somethin like that and i don't know what b18b is nor the b20.
but from those 2 options ls turbo is your fastest but will cost alot more than 1k

LS-T is about the only thing that can really, possibly smoke 'em.
I've heard about SR-20's dropping ~600whp on stock internals. It's a pretty good motor. So yeah, it's no bull that they're putting over 200 stock. The motors are REALLY powerful, but their pigs so the time in the QM isn't that good and their handling is sorta a joke.
The H22 is about as close as you'll get to 200hp outta all the popular H/A swaps (excluding the K). You're never really gonna keep up with a 240 w/ an SR20DET swap all motor...it's not really gonna happen. You can claim K, but that only lasts so long - then they come back.
I'd say to LS-Turbo - that's your best bet on making cheap HP, though with 1k, you can't do jack ****. So you might just wanna start picking up parts, so start by picking up an LS motor.

with $1000 you wont get much maby a blow type r motor that you are going to have to rebuild. you need like $3k for a good swap and motor. unless you are doing everything yourself and just buying the motor or you can always get a stolen motor and get it swaped in it is cheaper but you might get your azz kicked if someone finds out and it is there motor. to beat the 240's you need a gsr or lsvtec and maby turbo. you are going to need around 7k for the motor and turbo

but all that is a little over $1000 so youre S.O.L.

or if you like to do a homemade turbo kit. It will cost you less than $1k but you will need to fine tune your z6. Ive seen some running 230hp on stock internals with z6 but thats after very very fine tuning. Tuning is your key to boost

i love sr20dets. very fun cars yea they have over 200 hp stock
but then again its a 2500 dollar swap but thats all yo really need in em to go fast,

maybe 15 flat, your friends bought cars that go more than yours, and swapped in motors that cost more than your entire budget for the build, drive the civic daily, invest in some stock, make some money for collge and then laugh at them for driving 1989 barely sports cars made for secretaries with engine swaps in em
