Default Looking to buy a decent Mig that will do 1/4"+ steel..

I already own a Miller Dynasty 200dx tig, and while I havent had time to learn how to use it, some of the guys from Full-Race have used it for me, haha. I own an older Lincoln mig welder, and its a weak piece of crap, and was laughing at me when I was trying to weld some 1/4" square tubing on my boat trailer, not to mention all the problems I've had with the wire feeder jamming up.. I was thinking about a small sized machine, anyone have any comments on the Millermatic 180 or the Millermatic DVI2? I dont mind spending the money on a Miller product, as it *should* mean I dont have to buy another one down the road..

Id buy either the new mm212 or 252 they both look like great products. Im sure the dvi machine is good ,but it only has 180 amps id rather just spend a little more and get the 212 or 252.

I thought about the 212, but the problem is that I won't always have 208/230v available, hence the reason for the dual voltage dvi2.. I thought about keeping the Lincoln for 110v instances, but I'd rather just dump it and not have 2 migs..

I got the newest version of Lincoln's 120v MIG (HD-bought Weldpak-3200), and I'm doing 1/4" just fine. I've welded sch40 mild steel pipe and it turned out good, considering my skill level. I've also welded that same sch40 to 3/8 steel flanges, although it was best when welded inside and out. I also only had .023" wire at the time.

Good answer! I'll get the one that comes with a trailer and a generator to match!

expletive it, I'll just buy the DVI2, because its blue and matches my pants, isn't that how you're supposed to accessorize?
