mounting tires
hey guys i need help on mounting my tires
so i have sum gsr 5 star rims which has 205/50/15 tires on them
i purchase the same size tire for a good deall online.
so i bring it to a local tire shop to mount the new tires on.
but they couldnt get it mounted at all, the tire would just overlap the rim and the tire machine thing or watevr couldnt get the tire on it would overlap the rim as like the tire was to small.if u get what im saying
im not a wiz knowing bout tire mounting but what could be the problem?

It could be a number of things.
First, double-check the size on the new tires. Places have been known to ship the wrong size tires. And I would say that this is the most likely cause of the problem, that they tires aren't actually 205/50-15.
Otherwise, I'm not sure what you mean by "sum gsr 5 star rims". Does that mean you take the five stars, add them together, and get the sum?
Seriously, all 15" GS-R rims (fat fives, blades, etc - I've never heard of "5 star" though) are 15x6 rims. And any 205/50-15 tire should be able to be mounted on 15x6 rims without a problem.
If these aren't stock GS-R rims, check the rim width; maybe it's a 15x8 aftermarket rim, which you wouldn't be able to put 205/50-15 tires onto. If the rim width isn't molded into the rim, you can try measuring. The rim width is measured at the bead, where the tire mounts, and NOT at the outer edge of the lip. Most wheels are about an inch wider measured at the outer edge of the lip than at the bead (so if the measurement at the outer edge of the lip is nine inches, it's too wide).
Take a photo of the rims if you'd like to show us what they look like, so we can say whether or not they're stock GS-R rims.
