Default ITR optional side skirt add on does any 1 have a pic I can compair too??

Ok. I searched, but I didn't find any pic. My friend might sell me his OEM side, front and rear add on. He saying that it is OEM honda but when I opened the door what I see is rivets, but they don't look like he put them there cause of the pattern. So I'm just wondering did the OEM optional side have rivets from the factory?
I did double checked and they are not fiberglass.

Thanx

Rivets? If the are genuine OEM then No. They should bolt up fairly easy and fit extremely well. Double sided tape may work, but I would opt for the appropriate bolts/screws anyday. Just $5.00 at a hardware store.

I believe what you are referring to are the rivets that attach the metal bracket which snaps into the plastic hardware (all oem) underneath the side skirt.

So, once again, I would have to say the oem optional side skirts do show rivets down along where the bottom of the door jam/seal is (where you would kick your feet off if you had lots of snow on your feets).

Yes. that area. Where you open the door and look down you can see the rivets. So it came that way from the factory?
I was just wondering cause the factory side that came standard didn't have rivets. So when I saw the opional side and saw the rivets I thought the body shop put them there.

OEM optional side skirts have rivets and the regular non-optional do not have rivets.

The rivets that you are talking about tell me they are fiberglass. The OEM's can only be mounted when the stock skirts are removed. The bottom of the OEM optionals obviously are the same width as the stocks.

If you check out the fiberglass optionals, the width is shorter then stock. There is no way to use the stock mounts brackets and holes. That's why they are rivets into the stock skirts.

If you look underneath the optional skirt and see the stock skirt, it's fake.

Use this ebay link as a reference. What I'm talking about isn't really apparent, but it's there. Try to notice the pictures with them leaning on the cars and that white wall.

My OEM optional sides have rivets in them so I don't really see what you are talking about.

Oh. Well regardless of the rivets, OEM optionals can mount directly to the car where as the fiberglass ones are mounts on the stock skirts which are mounts to the car.

Unless there is a replica that can mount to the car like stock, I guess you'd have to check for the Honda stamping.

Ali:
Is that the same scratch (on the front lip) you put on your car last year during the November Turkey Meet?

You don't even know.

Azenies will be paid for and picked up this weekend. Hopefully i'll get around to finish spray painting the TE37's by this weekend and I'll be placing my order for stiffer springs this afternoon.

I can't effin wait. I still haven't even put anything back in the car since expo (floor mats, etc), so the car is bascially ready for We-Todd.

Ali

Edit - I probably should of posted this in the We-Todd thread Oh Well.

I see what you are saying now. I always wondered how you mount the aftermarket sides.

Thanx for the pic. Hell look just like your car except the wing and the rims.
Does any1 know how much I should Sell the front and rear for?? I just really want the side only.
They are painted silver just like the pic. The rear is in great condition, but the front look good just under side look like scrape marks, cant tell unless u look under from the bottom. General price range would help.

Thanx people for the info.
