Help... transmission/axles ...does this look right.
Are the axles supposed to go in deeper?
Driver side….

Passenger side…

I took them out a while ago, and just got to putting them in this evening.
They don’t seam to go in as deep as I though they would.
Is that gap normal?
Does anyone have any pictures of what it’s supposed to look like?
P.S.
This is on a D16Y8

The axle in the picture is not all the way in. When you are putting them in you will need to push a bit untill you feel the axle pop in. There is a bit of a gap but it is not very noticeable when then axle is all the way in.

What are you talking about, wrist pin? You're not working with pistons, you're working with axles! You're probably talking about the snap rings...you have to put some *** behind those axles to get them in!

I finally got it in.
practiced a couple of times on my spare transmission with a spare axle, and once I got the hand of it, I managed to pop them in my car with very little effort.
Thanks everyone
