Default Ls Vtec swap Questions, Smog, and ECU and more...

I did a search about alot of this and was not able to come up with specific answers. So here are some details. I live in santa cruz Ca. The smog here isnt noramlly as crazy as it is in other areas of Ca.

The car is a 1994 Acura Integra LS 5 speed.

This is the motor:
Head:
Gsr head
Full race port & polish from CTR
Skunk2 stage 2 cams
Skunk2 cam gears
Skunk2 springs
Skunk2 titanium r etainers
Skunk2 valve train
Fuel pressure regulator
2 valve covers(one cut for cam gears and one without cutout)

Block: ( New rings and bearing )
Ls b18b1
B16 pistons
Ls shotpeened rods
ARP rod bolts
ARP head studs
Ls vtec Kit w/ oil lines

Now here are the questions.

1: Will it pass a sniffer test for here in California with all the stock Smog Equiptment?
2: What ECU do i need?
3: The head is from OBD2, can i put the OBD1 harness on it and run it with a OBD1 ECU?
4: Will that pass the sniffer from the previous question?
5: Will the stock valve cover from the LS motor that i have bolt on to the VTec head?
6: When i smog will i have to somg with a stock non vtec ECU?
7: Will the motor run on a stock LS ecu if i do not cross into vtec?
8: Will the cams pass a sniffer test?
9: Am i stupid for even trying?

im pretty sure u will fail emissions automatically for having a vtec head on a non vtec motor

1. Not sure if it will pass emissions...it should.
2. Any vtec ecu i.e. P28 OBD1 ecu.
3. You can use the OBD2 head but change the distributor to OBD1 and run the OBD1 ecu or run a OBD2 ecu, depends what dist you have...or you can get the conversion harness.
4. Still not sure about CA emissions.
5. Nope can't use a non-vtec valve cover on a Vtec head, the bolt patterns are completely different.
6. Your non-vtec ecu won't work with the vtec head.
7. Once again you can't use a non-vtec ecu on a vtec motor.
8. Why not?
9. No, there's tons of people in Cali running the LS/Vtec's or B20/Vtec's.
