my experience at Montreal
this past weekend my brother, two friends and I headed up to montreal for the Formula 1 race. It took about 5 hours to drive there and we made it to the second practice on friday afternoon. It was sweeet. Our seats were right on the grid so we got to see all the pitstops and the drivers.Sunday[raceday] was unbelievable; the start was INSANE and the race was good even though Shumacher won. At night there were a lot of nice cars, about 5 or six nice type Rs and sunday night/ monday morning we found ourselves doing street interviews with the local homeless[they got a kick out of us cause we were more wasted than they were] .All in all the weekend was great and the great seats made it even better, and next year we are going again!
Isn't it sweet to hear engines reving at 18000 rpm going by you at 300 km/h. I was at the Senna corner last week-end. It was a very nice race.
Downtown Montreal was an absolute mess Saturday night, worst then last year.
I saw a Ferrari (either F-50 of F-60) at the corner of St-Catherine and Peel and it got mobed by about 100 persons trying to get a look at it...jammed the intersection for 5 minutes.

You forgot to mention how beautiful Canada is, and how nice Canadaians are!
Schumacker:
I lived in Montreal for the first 26 years of my life so I have a few friends donw there. One of them has an apartment downtown and let me crash over. Saturday we walk donw St-Catherine street and visited the different exposition (Mini Austin, Honda, Jaguar, Mercedes and BMW). Then at around 22h00 we started to watch the Detroit - Carolina hockey game on the big screen TV at the corner of St-Catherine and Stanley (I think). I went to bed not to late because I wanted to get to the circuit early Sunday morning.

It's the successor to the F50. Here's more info:

Glad you all had a good time in Montreal. I gave up on going to the GP few years ago. F1 is getting too expensive for the kind of show your getting. At least in Montreal, you see some action. Anywhere else, It mostly a big Ferrari parade...
I still watch it on TV, that good enough.
But, this year, the CART serie is coming to Montreal
This would be a far better show to watch. Less money involve, pits open to spectators, and at least, everyone one has a chance to win.

Yeap I already have my tickets for the CART serie in August. Should be a good race. I wonder how the lap times will compare between F1 and CART.
To be honest about the Ferrari, I only saw the front of the car (that is where I noticed it was a Ferrari) and a glimps at the rear. There was so many people around it that I could not get a good look. One thing is sure is that it was not a 360 Modena (I saw 20 race earlier that day) and it was very exotic looking (but maybe the streets of Montreal are not very well suited for an F-60).
